Flock Safety has an agreement with the San Ramon Police and can provide them with access to the valuable footage from our community’s cameras. This is one of the greatest advantages of the Flock cameras as they not only improve the ability to solve crime, but they also help prevent crime from happening in our community. If your cameras see a license plate that is on the FBI’s NCIC hot list of wanted vehicles, an alert will be sent directly to your local police.

 

Privacy is a top concern for Deer Ridge and Flock. The footage and data that is collected is automatically deleted after 30 days and is accessible only by the management company, unless outside access is granted (i.e. to San Ramon Police). Each owner can register their vehicles as well as those of frequent visitors within Flock so that your comings and goings are marked as a resident. This will help to reduce the number of “hits” that the police need to search through if there is an incident. In the event of a crime, access can be shared and footage can be downloaded and stored by either the community or local authorities. 

 

We encourage all residents to register on our community’s SafeList. It’s up to you whether you provide your actual name, but by registering your license plate, we will know that your vehicle belongs to a resident when sorting through footage in the event of a crime. You can add any vehicle that you own or that frequently visits your home. The link to the secure SafeList site is:

If you are the victim of a crime, please report it first to the police department. Next, email the management company, providing the police report number, police contact information and estimated date and time of the incident. We can then work with the detective assigned to the case to provide footage or access to our network.
